COACHING

Katrina Owens Media is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Marketing Director (part-time, contractor role) to support the execution and evolution of a high-growth personal brand.

This is a senior-level, hands-on role for someone who thrives behind the scenes—bringing ideas to life, managing moving parts, and ensuring every aspect of the brand’s visibility is intentional, cohesive, and results-driven.

You will work closely with Katrina to translate high-level vision into clear plans and consistent execution across the brand. While Katrina leads overarching brand and business strategy, you will act as a key collaborator—helping refine ideas, identify opportunities, and ensure they are executed effectively across content, partnerships, PR, and events.

This role is ideal for an emerging marketing leader who is ready to step into a more strategic, ownership-driven position. You may have experience in a Marketing Manager or similar role and are looking for the opportunity to:

  • Take on more responsibility across strategy and execution
  • Work closely with a founder and gain exposure to high-level decision-making
  • Expand your experience across content, PR, partnerships, and events
  • Play a key role in scaling a personal brand and business

You’re ambitious, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to grow into a true marketing leader within a fast-moving, founder-led brand.

This is not a consulting or advisory role. We are looking for a team member who will take ownership of execution and operations within the brand.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate on and support the execution of marketing strategy across the Katrina Owens Media brand and its core assets (podcast, book, events, programs)
  • Support strategic direction for select 1:1 client projects as needed

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Manage the Marketing Coordinator, overseeing task delegation, workflows, and quality control
  • Ensure projects are executed efficiently from start to finish, escalating only when necessary
  • Collaborate with the Executive Assistant on scheduling, contracts, and coordination

Content & Brand Management

  • Oversee content strategy and execution across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, positioning, and overall marketing goals
  • Lead development of key assets including email campaigns, pitch materials, digital assets and presentations

Partnerships, PR & Growth

  • Identify and secure brand partnerships, managing outreach, deliverables, and relationships
  • Source and pitch speaking opportunities, while maintaining PR assets (media kit, speaker reel, etc.)
  • Proactively identify opportunities to drive revenue through partnerships, speaking, and events

Digital Performance & Website

  • Oversee website performance, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, user experience, and conversion goals
  • Review analytics across platforms (website, email, social) to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for growth
  • Manage external SEO partners and ensure efforts align with overall business objectives

Events & Execution

  • Support the planning and execution of live events, including vendor and speaker coordination

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience leading marketing, social media, and/or public relations strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level brand vision into clear strategy and execution
  • Strong track record of managing multiple marketing channels, including social media, content, email, and partnerships
  • Experience overseeing projects or team members, with the ability to manage workflows and ensure high-quality output
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone across marketing, PR, and brand assets
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience reviewing analytics and using data to inform marketing decisions and identify growth opportunities
  • Comfortable working with external partners or contractors (e.g. SEO, designers, editors)
  • Strong visual sensibility with the ability to create and adapt on-brand assets (e.g. social graphics, presentations, simple landing pages)
  • Comfortable working in tools such as Canva, Showit, or similar platforms to execute quickly and efficiently
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
  • Bonus: Experience supporting a personal brand, founder-led business, or media personality
  • Bonus: Experience in PR, media outreach, or securing speaking opportunities

Who You Are

  • Strategic and proactive—you don’t just execute, you think ahead
  • A strong communicator who is comfortable leading a team while also collaborating closely
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • A strong eye for design and aesthetics, with the ability to create polished, on-brand assets when needed
  • A strong writer with the ability to adapt tone across platforms
  • Fast-moving and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

You are a hands-on operator who enjoys bringing ideas to life. You take ownership, identify what needs to be done without waiting for direction, and follow through at a high level.

You genuinely enjoy being behind the scenes—bringing structure to creativity, turning ideas into action, and helping a brand scale with intention.

  • Part-time, remote role (15–20 hours/month to start)
  • Hourly rate: $40–$50/hour, plus the opportunity for additional performance-based bonuses tied to revenue-generating initiatives.

This role is designed to grow into a more senior leadership position as the business scales, with increased hours, responsibility, and compensation over time.
