If you’re wondering how to improve visibility, posting more on social media isn’t the answer.

Neither is saying yes to every networking event, podcast interview or speaking opportunity that comes your way.

Visibility without strategy is just busyness.

The entrepreneurs who consistently grow their brands aren’t simply more visible. They’re intentional about when, where and why they show up.

That’s why I recommend working in what I call a 90 day visibility sprint – a focused period of strategic action designed to move you toward one clear business goal.

Instead of trying to do everything at once, every visibility effort works together to build momentum around a single objective that moves your business in the right direction.

What Is a Visibility Sprint?

A Visibility Sprint is a focused 90 day strategy that helps you intentionally increase your visibility around one major business milestone.

That milestone could be –

  • Launching a book
  • Filling an event
  • Promoting a new offer
  • Growing your podcast
  • Becoming a sought-after keynote speaker
  • Increasing brand awareness

Rather than spreading your energy across multiple priorities, every networking event, podcast appearance, social media post and partnership supports the same goal.

That focus is what creates results.

Why Most Visibility Strategies Don’t Work

As a PR Expert and Personal Branding Coach, I see so many entrepreneurs and leaders approach visibility reactively.

They post when they “have time” (which is almost never for busy entrepreneurs and executives, who actually need to make the time).

They attend random networking events and they accept opportunities without asking whether those opportunities actually support their long-term goals.

The result? They stay busy but don’t build meaningful momentum. And honestly, this leads to exhaustion with very little ROI.

It’s clear that doing more isn’t the answer. So what is?

Making every visibility opportunity work together, with intention and towards a common goal.

Start With Your Biggest Goal

Every Visibility Sprint begins with one question: What are you building toward?

Maybe you’re launching a signature event. Or you could be doing the run up to publishing a book.

Maybe you’re focused on selling out a mastermind. Or perhaps your biggest goal is to land really amazing speaking engagements.

Your visibility strategy should always serve that larger milestone. Because when you know your destination, every marketing decision becomes easier.

Before you say yes to any opportunity, ask yourself: “Will this help move me closer to my goal?”

Plan Your Year Before Planning Your Sprint

One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is only thinking a few weeks ahead.

Instead, map out your year first.

Start with your biggest milestone, then add –

  • Speaking engagements
  • Networking events
  • Podcast interviews
  • Product launches
  • Conferences
  • Marketing campaigns

Once you can see the entire year, it’s much easier to identify where your biggest opportunities – and busiest seasons – will be.

The Four Phases of a Visibility Strategy

While each Visibility Sprint lasts 90 days, your annual visibility strategy should be made up up of four distinct phases that works towards your biggest milestone.

1. Visibility Planning

This is where you define your annual goal, map important dates and identify the visibility opportunities that will support it.

2. Public Relations + Personal Brand Strategy

Now it’s time to execute. Pitch podcasts. Land the event speaker spots you’ve been eyeing. Strengthen your messaging. Build your assets.

Many visibility tactics take time to gain traction, so take advantage of this ideal period to lay the groundwork.

3. Build Momentum

This phase is about building credibility and creating social proof.

Host a smaller event.

Share behind-the-scenes content.

Collaborate with other businesses.

Celebrate wins publicly.

Everything you do should increase awareness before your biggest launch.

4. Leverage Your PR and Marketing Opportunities

This is your highest-visibility season. It’s the time where you’re actively promoting your offer, event or launch.

Your content becomes strategic and intentional.

You’re networking consistently, you’re speaking more often and every opportunity reinforces the same message and drives people toward the same outcome.

How to Identify Your 90-Day Visibility Sprint

Once you’ve identified your goal, build a plan that supports it.

Your sprint might include:

  • Weekly networking events
  • Guest podcast interviews
  • Speaking opportunities
  • Consistent social media content
  • Strategic partnerships
  • PR outreach
  • Email marketing
  • Community engagement

The exact tactics matter less than ensuring they all point toward the same objective.

Visibility Is About Consistency – Not Constant Hustle

A Visibility Sprint doesn’t mean you’re “on” all year long. You’ll naturally have seasons where you’re planning, building systems, creating content, resting and executing.

The key is maintaining a baseline level of visibility even during quieter seasons.

You’ll never feel like you’re disappearing or missing the mark, even when your schedule slows down. You’ll actually be deliberately shifting your focus.

That rhythm helps prevent burnout while allowing you to show up with intention when it matters most.

If you’re trying to figure out how to improve visibility, search for ways you can become more intentional.
